1. Objectives and Scope
Jurnal Inovasi Pembelajaran Matematika (JIPM) (e-ISSN: 2962-7893) is a peer-reviewed open-access journal published by Rafandha Press
The primary objective of JIPM is to advance research and knowledge in mathematics education by publishing original research articles and critical literature reviews. The scope includes, but is not limited to:
- Innovations and Development in Mathematics Learning Media and Tools
- Innovative Instructional Models, Strategies, and Methods in Mathematics
- Integration of ICT and Digital Technologies in Mathematics Education
- Ethnomathematics and Culturally Responsive Mathematics Teaching
- Curriculum Development, Assessment, and Evaluation in Mathematics
- Mathematical Thinking Skills (Critical, Creative, Problem Solving, and Mathematical Literacy)
3. Manuscript Types
JIPM considers the following types of manuscripts for peer review and publication:
- Original Research Articles: Comprehensive reports of empirical research in mathematics learning (typically 4,000–8,000 words).
- Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR): Critical evaluations of current research trends and theoretical developments in mathematics education.
- Short Communications / Case Studies: Concise studies reporting novel instructional tools or innovative classroom practices.
4. Publication Schedule
JIPM is published biannually (2 issues per year):
- Issue 1: January
- Issue 2: July
The journal strictly maintains its scheduled publication frequency and does not allow backdated publication or inserting articles into previously published issues.

To ensure permanent access and long-term digital preservation of all published content, JIPM participates in established digital archiving networks:
- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)
- LOCKSS & CLOCKSS Archiving System
- National Archival Repositories: Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital) and National ISSN Registry.
6. Copyright Policy
Authors publishing in JIPM agree to the following copyright terms:
- Authors retain full copyright of their work without restrictions.
- Authors grant JIPM a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the Version of Record.
- Authors are permitted to self-archive all versions of their manuscript in institutional or personal repositories.
7. Licensing Policy
All articles in JIPM are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0)[cite: 68].
This license allows anyone to copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially, provided proper credit is given to the original authors and JIPM[cite: 68].

JIPM maintains zero tolerance for plagiarism, data fabrication, and text recycling[cite: 26, 117].
- All submitted manuscripts are screened using similarity check tools (Turnitin / iThenticate) before peer review[cite: 26].
- The maximum allowable similarity threshold is below 20%, excluding references and standard mathematical formulas[cite: 26].
- Submissions exceeding the threshold will be rejected or returned to authors for major revision[cite: 26].
9. Allegations of Research Misconduct
JIPM takes all allegations of publication and research misconduct seriously, strictly following COPE Flowcharts[cite: 48, 50].
Misconduct includes data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, ethical clearance violations, undisclosed conflicts, and peer review manipulation[cite: 48, 117].
Confidential reports or allegations can be submitted to the Research Integrity Contact: editor.jipm@rafandhapress.com[cite: 13, 50, 52]. The editorial office investigates all credible reports impartially[cite: 50].
10. Conflict of Interest Policy
All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could bias their work[cite: 19, 33, 42].
- Authors: Must declare all funding sources and competing interests in the manuscript[cite: 33]. If none exist, state: "The authors declare no conflict of interest."[cite: 33]
- Reviewers: Must decline invitations if a conflict of interest exists with the authors or institution[cite: 42].
- Editors: Must recuse themselves from handling submissions where a conflict exists[cite: 19, 20]. An independent handling editor will manage the review[cite: 19, 20].
11. Post-Publication Discussion
JIPM encourages post-publication academic discourse[cite: 56]. Readers may submit evidence-based comments or letters to the editor regarding published articles[cite: 56].
- Original authors will be invited to provide a formal response (Author's Reply)[cite: 56].
- Both the comment and reply undergo editorial review and are published together to maintain scholarly record integrity[cite: 56].
12. Correction and Retraction Policy
JIPM is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly literature in accordance with COPE Guidelines and Indonesian Accreditation Standards[cite: 48, 57, 117]:
- Corrections (Erratum/Corrigendum): Issued for honest minor errors that do not alter the paper's main conclusions[cite: 57].
- Expressions of Concern: Published when serious but inconclusive evidence of misconduct is under investigation[cite: 58].
- Retractions: Issued in cases of invalid findings, severe plagiarism, fabrication, or ethical violations[cite: 59, 117]. Retracted papers remain online but are clearly watermarked as "RETRACTED" across all PDF and HTML formats[cite: 59, 117].
13. Peer Review Process Policy
JIPM uses a Double-Anonymous Peer Review (Double-Blind) process[cite: 37, 95]. Author and reviewer identities are hidden from each other throughout evaluation[cite: 37, 95].
- Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two (2) independent peer reviewers with relevant subject expertise[cite: 37, 85, 90].
- Average review duration is 2 to 4 weeks per round[cite: 37].
- AI Policy in Peer Review: Reviewers are strictly forbidden from uploading confidential manuscripts to external generative AI tools[cite: 43, 90, 97]. Final decisions are strictly made by human editors[cite: 43, 97].
- JIPM forbids instant "fast-track" acceptance guarantees (LoA without genuine review)[cite: 95].
14. Open Access Policy
JIPM provides immediate open access to its published content[cite: 61]. All articles are freely available on the journal website without subscription fees or paywalls[cite: 61].
