Article Categories

Manuscript Types

BEMI accepts three types of manuscripts: Original Research Articles, Review Articles, and Case Study Articles. Authors must select the manuscript type that best represents the research design, methodological approach, and primary purpose of their submission.

Type 01

Original Research Article

Reports original empirical research conducted by the authors using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches.

Examples: survey, experimental, quasi-experimental, correlational, evaluation, action research, development research, and other appropriate empirical designs.
Type 02

Review Article

Provides a structured and critical synthesis of previously published scholarly literature using a clearly described review methodology.

Examples: systematic review, scoping review, integrative review, and other methodologically justified review approaches.
Type 03

Case Study Article

Reports empirical research using a case study research design to investigate a bounded case, phenomenon, organization, institution, program, or process in depth and in context.

Important: Research conducted at one institution is not automatically classified as a case study; the research design must explicitly employ case study methodology.
03
