Article Processing Charge

BEMI applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support editorial management, peer review administration, copyediting, layout preparation, and online publication of accepted manuscripts.

All publication-related fees, including the APC and Fast Review fee, are charged only after a manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.

Important Notice
BEMI does not charge any submission fee. Authors are not required to make any payment during manuscript submission, peer review, or editorial evaluation. All applicable publication fees, including the APC and Fast Review fee, will be invoiced only after the manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.

Applicable to English-language manuscripts co-authored with at least one international author . Eligibility is determined based on the author's institutional affiliation.

Payment Policy

All Fees Are Payable Only After Acceptance

BEMI does not require any payment at the time of manuscript submission or during the peer review process. All applicable fees are invoiced only after the manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.

Once a manuscript has been officially accepted for publication, the corresponding author will receive an official invoice from the BEMI editorial office. Where applicable, the invoice will include the Article Processing Charge (APC) and the Fast Review fee of IDR 1,000,000.

 

Fast Review Policy

Fast Review is an optional service for authors who require an expedited editorial and peer review process. The service is intended to shorten the review timeline while maintaining the same academic and ethical standards applied to manuscripts processed through the regular review procedure.

  1. Fast Review is an optional service for authors who require an expedited review process.
  2. The estimated review period is 14–20 days, depending on reviewer availability, manuscript quality, and editorial workload.
  3. All Fast Review manuscripts undergo the same double-blind peer review process and are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers.
  4. Fast Review does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Editorial decisions are based solely on the academic quality, relevance, and suitability of the manuscript.
  5. The Fast Review fee is IDR 1,000,000. No payment is required when submitting the manuscript or requesting Fast Review.
  6. If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the Fast Review fee will be invoiced together with the applicable Article Processing Charge (APC).
 

How to Request Fast Review

STEP 01
Submit Your Manuscript

Submit the manuscript through the BEMI Online Journal System (OJS) in accordance with the journal's submission guidelines.

STEP 02
Complete Fast Review Request

After submitting the manuscript through OJS, complete the official Fast Review Request Form.

STEP 03
Editorial Evaluation

The editorial office will evaluate the request and determine whether the manuscript is eligible for expedited processing.

STEP 04
Fast Review Process

If approved, the manuscript will be prioritized for editorial handling and peer review according to the Fast Review procedure.

Editorial Independence and Ethical Statement

Payment of the APC or Fast Review fee does not influence the editorial decision, reviewer recommendations, or acceptance outcome. All manuscripts are evaluated according to BEMI's academic, editorial, peer review, and publication ethics standards.

All applicable publication fees are invoiced only after the manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.
