Fast Review Policy
The Bulletin of Educational Management and Innovation (BEMI) provides an optional Fast Review service for authors who require a shorter manuscript evaluation timeline. This service is designed to facilitate a more efficient editorial process while maintaining the journal’s commitment to high academic standards and ethical scholarly publishing.
The Fast Review service prioritizes the editorial handling and peer review process. However, this service does not guarantee acceptance, as all manuscripts are evaluated based on their scientific quality, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope.
Eligibility for Fast Review
Not all manuscripts are eligible for Fast Review. The decision to grant Fast Review priority is determined by the Editor after the initial editorial screening.
Manuscripts may be considered eligible for Fast Review if they meet the following criteria:
-
Relevance to Journal Scope
The manuscript must address topics related to educational management, leadership, or innovation in education. -
Compliance with Author Guidelines
The manuscript must follow the journal's formatting and submission requirements. -
Acceptable Similarity Index
The manuscript must pass the similarity check within the acceptable threshold determined by the journal. -
Clear Research Design
The research methodology, data analysis, and conclusions must be clearly presented. -
Language Quality
The manuscript should demonstrate adequate academic writing quality. -
Editorial Approval
The Editor reserves the right to determine whether a manuscript qualifies for the Fast Review service.
If the manuscript requires major revisions, the Fast Review timeline may no longer apply and the manuscript may continue under the regular review process.
Fast Review Workflow
Manuscripts submitted under the Fast Review policy will be processed according to the following timeline:
-
Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team will conduct an initial assessment within 1–3 days to evaluate the manuscript’s suitability with the journal’s scope and basic submission requirements. At this stage, the Editor will determine whether the manuscript qualifies for the Fast Review service. Manuscripts that do not meet the eligibility criteria may proceed through the regular review process. -
Peer Review Process
The manuscript will be sent to at least two independent reviewers under the double-blind review system. Reviewers will be requested to complete their evaluation within 7–14 days. -
Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial decision (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject) will normally be provided within 3–4 weeks from the initial submission. -
Revision Stage
If revisions are required, authors must revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments. However, if the manuscript requires major revisions, the Fast Review timeline may no longer apply and the manuscript may continue under the regular review process. -
Final Decision
After the revised manuscript is submitted and evaluated by the editor (and reviewers if necessary), the Editor will make the final decision regarding the manuscript’s acceptance or rejection.
Fast Review Timeline
For manuscripts approved for Fast Review, the journal aims to provide an editorial decision within approximately 3–5 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and author responsiveness during revisions.
Fast Review Service Fee
To support the accelerated editorial process, a Fast Review service fee of IDR 1,000,000 is applied for manuscripts processed under this service. The Fast Review fee will be invoiced together with the Article Processing Charge (APC) after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. Payment is required only after the author receives an official acceptance notification and invoice from the editorial office.
